Written in Birmingham, Alabama.

This song is a still life of where I was spiritually and emotionally at the time. While it references addiction, none of the lyrics refer to actual events. They are in a way, however, derived from actual events.

Anyone who lives in, or has driven through, certain parts of North Alabama should recognize that "Eleven Bucks" refers to the billboard advertisements for the widely problematic Methadone Clinics that charge a daily fee of eleven dollars to simply replace one (possibly illegal) crippling addiction for a perfectly legal crippling addiction of equal or greater value.

This is a compilation of demos for the album that will (hopefully) be released around fall of 2013. Please excuse the modesty of the recordings, as they are humble demos recorded on an iPad, and not professionally in a studio.

It hurt so bad to bite my tongue.
In the snow you dropped a dollar.
In seven miles it's the only green I know.

So we wrote a note to leave behind.
I can't remember what it said.
But something came out of nothing.
